The Cat's Diary

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep

up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I
decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities.
However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to useit to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.
The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.
For now.....

Am I the only one?

I just had to ask this..am I the only one who disciplines my kids anymore???

We were at McDonalds last night with our 6 yo old son and 18 month old daughter. They had a playland with a specific area designated for kids under 3 along with the huge area for the bigger kids. Of course the bigger kids were in the baby area throwing their Happy Meal toys in the air and pushing each other up and down the baby slide etc. Quite a few times I had to tell these kids (easily 7-10 years old) to watch out for my daughter. Meanwhile their parents are paying no attention.

So we sit down and eat and I take my DD back over to the baby area. Now there is a kid in there about 3 years old or so and I already knew he was a brat because I had watched him yell at his mother over and over again while they were eating and she never said a word to him. So they are in there playing along with another little boy. Erika (my DD) is going to step down into the little play area from the slide and this 3 yo old boy gets behind her and SHOVES her face forward down about 2 feet. Of course I freaked (I was standing there but just couldn’t get to her fast enough) I just yelled at him “she’s a baby. You don’t push babies” He starts crying. OK the mom finally comes over. I had calmed down a little and apologized for yelling at him and said I had just had enough of her being pushed around in the baby section! And she says to me “Well he is a baby too!!” and that was it!! She never told him to apologize or anything! And he was much older then Erika but yes he was young.

Don’t get me wrong. I am FARRRR from one of those crazy parents. I am one of those ones that if you fall and if it isn’t bleeding or broken don’t come and see me!! LOL I am very hands off most of the time. But if my son had pushed over a much younger child on purpose he would have had to apologize and then we would have left. This mother did nothing.

I am not here to be my kids friends. I can be that when they are 18. Right now I am here to make them a functioning part of society.

Having 12 hours to think about last night, I can see that maybe I did over react a little. But this kid was mean and pushed her on purpose and nothing was said to him (or to me). What does that teach him? And when I was leaving, not one parent would look at me. I know they heard me say that the other big kids were pushing her around. That McD’s must have been all abuzz after I left!!! LOL

Sorry to ramble. It just pissed me off!! LOL

He is now a Tiger Cub!

Christian is now a Tiger Cub in Cub Scouts! The ceremony was last night and he has a lot of fun! I was so proud of him! So the next step is Wolf which he does over 2nd grade. I will have ot find the local pack once we move!

Back to School Finally!

Christian finally went back today after being home all week with strep! I sweat this kid hasn't been to school for a full week since school came back after Christmas break. Between holidays, snow closings and illness, I swear I am gonna be nutz!! He was so excited to be back!! His teacher even gave him a big hug hello this morning and welcomed him back!

We are Heathens

Christian is in Cub Scouts as most of you know and the last thing they den needed to do was go to a radio station or newspaper or something along those lines to get their badge.

One of the other moms sent up a tour of a small Christian radio station down in Canton for the last part of our Tiger badge. The DJ asks them if they have any requests and I see Christian getting ready to raise his hand. I just shot him an evil look to put his hand down because I knew there is no way on God's green earth that he knows a Christian/gospel song. So after we leave he is a little pissy with me for not letting him make a request and I said "What were you going to ask for?"and he sings"I'm bringing SEXY BACK!!"

Yes I am getting a first class ticket to hell.

Leapsters

This is the world we live in! My 17 month old is playing with her 6 year old brother's Leapster. She actually turns it off and on and uses the pen the correct way! I am pretty sure I wasn't doing this at a year and a half old!

Moving Back to Philly

yes we are coming back! E is leaving soon. I am staying until Christian is done 1st grade. So I will have about 2 1/2 months with just kids, no hubby! I found a realtor in NJ who also does rentals so I gave him my requirements and he will start looking for me. I will be so glad when this is done. But I am moving back to my 2 favorite food places!

Snow Day!!

Another one!! 3 in one week!! I like a day off now and then but this is getting ridiculous! The schools are only allowed 5 and we are at 4! One more and then they start having to make them up. And of course if they do it at the end of the year I am screwed since I planned on moving on June 1st when school was over. Nothing ever goes right!
We are supposed to get 4-8 inches today and another 4 tomorrow. I guess they were afraid to send the kids to school and then have to bus them all home early. If we go out later I'll take pictures. But of course it is freezing too and the baby hates the cold!

PineWood Derby Winner!!

Christian won 1st place in his den! He lost in the semi finals to an older Scout. He had a great time and shook the winner's hand when he lost. He also won a trophy for Most Original car. His wasn't even a car! It was Thomas the Tank Engine! I was so proud of him. I wanted to cry when he won the trophy and the medal! First time ever!
