Sickie!

Poor Erika was sick all weekend. She had Erich and I up all night Friday and a good part of Saturday. She has the whole boogie nose thing going on and then her nose drains into her ears and then her ears hurt. I was actually considering taking her to Children's Hospital on Sat night. Erich gave her some Motrin and that helped with the ear pain and then she finally slept for a few hours in a row. She was OK yesterday and slept pretty decent last night (no screaming for 2 hours like Friday night!!) so I decided not to call the peditrician today. Hopefully we are on the down side!!

Trick or Treating

We trick or treat here the Sunday before Halloween from 3 to 5 pm. It is still kind of hard to get used to but not too bad! Generally it is warmer and definitely sunnier then going on Halloween night!

Christian's Halloween Party

Christian's party at school was Friday. They had to parade inside because of the yucky rain. It is next to impossible to get a good picture of 22 moving 6 year olds!

Boo at the Zoo

We went to Boo at the Zoo last night with our friends. Christian and Ellie had a blast running from one trick or treat station to the next. Erika just liked walking around!
I had so many people stop me and comment on my little Minnie!

Many Adventures of Erika Part 2

I swear this child is gonna give me grey hairs long before I should get them!
Sunday she stood on the back of the kitchen chair, pulled it on top of her, cried and then held her breath until she was about 3 seconds from passing out. Her eyes had actually started to rol back in her head. Tuesday she fell into the bathtub chasing the cat. (no water in the tub thank goodness!!) She crawls under Christian's Thomas bunk bed to get to the cats! She will climb on anything and everything. She is gonna break a bone longgggggggggg before her big brother does!! LOL

This is what Erika did yesterday while Christian was in school. ANd of course, instead of helping her get unstuck, I grabbed the camera!

1st Day of First Grade!

Well August 23rd was his first day of first grade! He was so excited! The most exciting part was having lunch in the cafeteria. Christian has been to preschool and kindie but they were all half day. He came home and told me all about his day and lunch. He got a hot dog and then told me "And if you need mustard or ketchup, there are ladies there to help you!" He ate like a horse when he got home. But he was still up until 9:30pm! I was sure he would crash!

We didn't do anything exciting today. Erich is away on business and will be back tomorrow. The kids and I went over to see a house for rent and the guy never showed up. He was supposed to be there at 9:30am. When we came back, he left a message about rescheduling. Screw that. What kind of landlord would he be if he can't even show up to show me the place!
I think we are going to start actively look for a house to buy. I really like it here even though my hubby chnages his mind every day about where to live!
After waiting for the guy who never showed, we went over to the playground at school and Christian ran around for a while. Only one week until school starts!! Big fat first grader!

Christian was such a little monkey as a baby. He loved to go to the playground!

Pogo

One of my favorite things to do on the internet to waste time is play at Pogo.com. I have been playing there for years! If you want my screen name, email me and I will send it to you so we can play together!

What baby gate??

Why do I even bother with a baby gate?? If you look behind Erika, you can see the gate that is up to keep her in! Obviously, she figured out how to go THROUGH the railing! Fortunately, I was coming up the stairs and caught her before she got all the way through. (She very easily could have done it!) This child will give me grey hair before I am 40!

And yes she is wearing a onesie that says "I am a little stinker!"

This is one of my favorites of the 2 of them..although I have quite a few!

Every year we take black and whites of Christian in August. Here are the past 5 years!

Looks like we will be doing it again soon.
